330. Goombeetle

Goombas have gotten tired of being stomped, and some of them finally took the initiative to make protective helmets for themselves. Modeled after the shells of Buzzy Beetles, they can withstand any attacks from above… too bad Mario has a spin attack now.

329. Jump Beamer

These robotic sentries stay bolted to the ground, occasionally firing a few ring-shaped lasers outward. That's quite beamy, don't you think? If you manage to approach it while avoiding these attacks, the top of its head functions as a trampoline.

324. Octoguy

Yeah, they're like Octoombas, but a little smaller and more energetic! Usually coming in groups of several per planet, they hop around quickly and can either chase after or flee from their target. It's kinda cute how they take a little longer to shoot a rock.

323. Flipbug

Despite the "intimidating" appearance, but rest assured, these clumsy bugs are more afraid of you than you are of them. The only thing they're not afraid of is their main prey, honey bees; they'll slowly take chase after anything that even looks like one.

321. Ota Rock

Some of these giant relatives of Octoombas block the paths through some galaxies and take cover in barrels. When they spot an intruder, they take action and shoot fireballs and coconuts out of their snouts. The coconuts can reflected right back at them.

320. Dino Piranha

Despite the galaxy's name, it's doubtful whether this enormous Piranha Plant monster hatched from a good egg… nevertheless, it guards a precious Power Star in its stomach. Its bouncy, bulbous tail is just begging to be attacked with a spin.

318. Spiny Piranha Plant

These huge Piranha Plants only get more menacing with the painful thorns on their stem. But their powerful head slam attack has a major flaw: they lay on the ground for a bit after, and this is the first main game where Piranha plants can be stomped.

317. Thorny Flowers

Many of these spiky red plants exist on a variety of planets throughout the galaxies, whether small, large, or floating. Regardless of where they are, they fend off most predators by hurting anything that touches them (but Yoshis can eat them just fine).

314. Dry Bowser

Out of the many times Bowser has fallen into searing lava, this is the first time it's melted his organs away so painfully. But not only does his skeletal form arguably look even more awesome than before, but fire immunity makes him more of a threat.

The spooky reddish-violet of the sky looms overhead… The leafless purple trunks of trees stand menacingly dead… The hollow caws of Crowbers echo through the barren wastes… They fly in circles waiting to attack; take heed, make haste!
