Sunday, so some old art. This was done ooh, many years ago now as part of a tribute to artist Glen Angus who sadly passed away. He loved flight - fighter planes, and their nose art. I thought the Angel of the North appropriate as it's a wonderful sculpt.

@cultauthor @HeeleyJo I love Bestall's glorious landscapes. He's providing inspiration for a piece of work I'm doing now. There's still much magic(k) there, even if our eyes are now aware of some of this issues inherent.

When I started drawing Ms Poe in 2011 ( with a big break between the last one in '15 and now) she started out very cartoony, but I quickly realised that wasn't how I wanted to draw her. I even had a go at imagining her more 'real' and did these purely for myself. It was fun to do

'The Magician' - Rex Ingram, 1926. Based on Somerset Maugham's book of the same name it features a magician named Oliver Haddo - inspired by Aleister Crowley - whom Maugham knew through the painter Gerald Kelly. Once considered a 'lost film', it is now available on DVD

Mr Kilmister's birthday today. I did this a while back for a caricature competition. I never saw him with Hawkwind, as I was a bit small, but it was a pleasure to see Motorhead many times.
