The Statue of Zeus was constructed by the sculptor Phidias in c.430 BC, and placed at the heart of the Temple of Zeus at Olympia. One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, none of the statue survives today.

In c.18 BC, Gaius Cestius had a great tomb made for him in Rome shaped like a pyramid and measuring over 37 metres tall. The Pyramid remains standing in the 'Eternal City' to this day.
