Great episode. The downtime before the Cell Games is so much fun. You get so many cool little moments like this. There's nothing inherently Yamauchi-esque about this, but I think just letting this moment speak for itself is a sign of a good director.

A real landmark episode. One of the best in the series.

Sato, Ide, Nakatsuru, Shida, Miyahara, etc. Not super crazy top-tier noteworthy animation, but when combined with Kikuchi's great board, and surprisingly solid Imamura direction, it's seriously effective.
