This is probably my most personal recommendation, although I am not even sure if it is one, but I wanted to highlight it.

Code:Breaker was my first manga and the reason why I started getting into the medium.

It will always be special.

22. Kimi ni Todoke - Shiina Karuho (112 ch)

Loveliest, cutest, sweetest and most endearing romance manga ever made.

My comfort media. I love everything about it.

19. Kieta Hatsukoi - Aruko (24~)

From one artist to another, Aruko is responsible for the art of Kieta Hatsukoi, another coming of age that tackles among other topics sexuality.

What starts with a misunderstanding will soon become the beginning of a love story.

12. Akatsuki no Yona - Kusanagi Mizuho (221 ch~)

An adventure story that starts with the loss of Yona's innocence will follow her through her inspirational journey to become a wiser and more mature person that will be able to support her country.

11. InuYasha - Takahashi Rumiko (559 ch)

Another one of the responsibles for shaping my childhood and current taste. Even know I keep going back to this story. I don't think I will ever get tired of it.

A modern classic isekai.

(I recommend its adaptation as well).

10. Blank Canvas - Higashimura Akiko (34 ch)

Another autobiographical manga, but this time it focuses on how Higashimura-sensei became a mangaka.

A touching story full of passion and heart.

7. Will you marry me again if you are reborn? - Morinaga Miku (22 ch)

Behind the promised story of gentle memories that is this manga, lurk the crude episodes of loss and war that they had to endure to reach their well-deserved happy ending.

4. Run away with me, girl - Battan (16 ch)

An adult romance between two women that explores the importance of following the path that will make you the happiest even if it won't be the easiest or socially accepted.

It tackles delicate topics like domestic abuse.

3. BL Metamorphosis - Tsurutani Kaori (51 ch)

Having the relationship between Urara (17yo) and Ichinoi-san (75yo) as the core of the story, this manga depicts how the different generations can learn from one another and share a passion even if their realities are poles appart.
