When a player fulfills an Obligation in Zephyr, their character may unravel the thread around the fetish in order to weave a Pattern. Patterns are "woven" (drawn) on your character sheet, providing strange powers fueled by the bonds they're connected to.

In the #ZephyrRPG, characters need to hunt, gather, and cook in order to replenish the color tokens that make for the Constitution. This way, they secure energy for their journey, as well for evoking the sentimental bonds that will make for who they are.

The eyeless Earthenfolk are known for their Bowing Citadel, a city built sideways on a mountain's face. The city only becomes inhabitable during the Bowing Season, when Ophoi's lungs push the mountains inwards--allowing them to party there for a few weeks.

Windfolk have Obligations not just to one another, but also to the other person's of the world — rivers, mountains, other creatures — with whom they hold long histories of reciprocity (as well as a fair share of drama!)
