So I'm stretching WAYYYYY out of my comfort zone lately, but if I want some of those sweet card art and cover gigs, I gotta KEEP GRINDING 😤👀😤
Here's "At Dawn", heavily (and I mean HEAVILY) inspired by Dishonored

A fun follow-up to my old 'Cyborg Western' idea, this time more influenced by the lovely work of The Last of Us 2 as well! Wanted to work a little tighter, both in regards to brushwork and color wheel!

Liara fanart is a wrap! I should probably restart a Mass Effect playthrough sometime soon 😤👀 I'm happy because I'm starting to find a groove in sketching/integrating lineart!

And here's the whole point of these studies.....trying to learn these lessons and take them into the ol' noggin! Here's a quick sketch using (no reference, from imagination), just trying to remember the angles/edges/details of the Robin/Nightwing study above
Thinking about doing a full 100-Head-Challenge by studying/learning Jim Lee's approach of sharper angles and more confident lines, as those are two things I DESPERATELY need to get better at. Here's study #1!

So guys.....keep an eye out on #DCFanDome today. Your boy's Green Arrow art *may* (note: will) make an appearance!!!! LET'S GOOOOOO 😤😤🚨

@TherealPeytonC Quick update! Scrunched in the face, made the eyes larger, changed the layout of the nose, and hit a quick airbrush and TA-DA, no more Melania knock-off LOL. It's amazing how proportion is soooo tied with likeness in portraits.
One of my goals lately is to add 'dynamics' or 'motion' to my stuff, so here's a thing trying out using 'mixer brush smudges' as motion, with some weird tilted camera and very-visible brushstrokes! Love using airbrushes for 'out of focus' things lately

Seems like nostalgia has been a CRAZY GOOD motivator for me lately haha, I'm using those brushes/mixer tools from my earlier (more realistic) piece on some Vagrant Story fanart. Also included is the reference I'm using! Definitely a WIP, feeling good about it!
Shape, brush, and lighting study! I'm finding that *super* light pen pressure on texture brushes allows for some really neat effects, it almost feels like 'dusting' a canvas!
