Okay beefy boy is coming along great, but now I'm at a crossroads......comic-style outlines/inking, or stick with the painterly?

Let me know! The inking style will try my hand at line weights/traditional comic inking techniques w/ blending, while painterly is NO LINESSS

Only fitting that Randy posted a set, as his art made MY list!

"Share 4 pieces of art that inspired you to follow your career path."

Randy Vargas - Skeleton Archer
Richard "Flaptraps" Anderson - Guild Wars 2
Greg Rutkowski - "Revolution"
Todd Lockwood - "Crystal Shard" https://t.co/kI4LPuQVYT

A few of the gesture studies from tonight's stream! Took about a half hour per sketch, YouTube archive will be up shortly!

Finished my sketches! Happy with how each turned out, but I'm actually really proud of the Lion piece, as I feel like I figured out which brushes to use to get the oomph I've been after lately.

Had a bit of an art block tonight because of the emotional rollercoaster that was yesterday, so here's a weird Mindflayer Cthulu Operative Military Guy! Why? Because!

Thank you for the amazing Karina! I'm finding some incredible artists from this set!

My name's Wes, and I'm an illustrator/painter that has credits in film, album covers, book covers, and some NDA stuff coming later this year for new clients!

Good ol' art block tonight! Started with a military thing then got SUPER bored as I feel like nothing about it was interesting. So then did a quick skeleton sketch over it and it made me laugh and was actually productive! So....mission accomplished!

Alright here's a little mini lesson that I learned today while following along with the Craig Mullins masterclass: 5-point value studies! Where you take only 5 values and create a study, then go into each value and assign random-ass colors of the same brightness:

You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like
