Adding cars, cyclists and figures is my favourite part to any city street scene #watercolour - All of a sudden the piece is alive and vibrant.

Very quickly painting over a scene on canvas I did not like. I’m just having fun here and painting a scene inspired by one of the old masters. Sometimes it’s just fun to play around 🎨

Took a photograph of this outside in the natural light which helps show the colours more accurately. Still lots of work needed in many areas, but it’s coming along okay 😊

I’ve only gone and painted to after 4am.... AGAIN! I just fall into a secluded zone at night where my mind gets lost in painting. Here’s a few more shots of how this one is coming along.

All very rough for a start. Nothing is accurate just now. I constantly rework every area of an oil painting, then tie it all together much later, but here’s a sense of where it’s going. Not sure how detailed I want to be. I’ve never attempted this sort of thing at all.
