What started out as a morning sketch is getting out of hand. Should I be building life sized models again? Would that be something I could make a living out of? Why haven't I done concept art like this in so long? I really wish my life had gone differently. More coffee.
Got this boy sliced up yesterday, finally, and proceeded to export the head to Lychee Slicer for printing. Tried setting it up, program kept freezing and crashing my workstation. Got up today, made coffee, trying again. Sometimes I feel like four raccoons in a trenchcoat.
Sooo posing on Pachyrhinosaurus canadensis is done! This is the final pose I will be cutting apart and turning into a nice printing kit! Not sure about scale yet. Obviously I would love 1/20 scale, but that will take forever to print...
Retopology on this boy is finally done. I definitely need to upgrade my machine, desperately. But I am satisfied with the result, for the most part. Now off to bed and tomorrow, maybe, more work on slicing him apart!
Grateful for muscle memory coming back. Retopology is fun. Or something.
Slowly getting somewhere with him. It's been a long time since I sculpted in Zbrush and I'm having a hard time getting back into the flow, but I've spent half of today working on this, so I am REALLY happy.
I went home sick from work today, everything is just too much, my ear is stinging and I feel under the weather. Shading a bit of Akæmos to let off steam. Feels good. <3
"My patience is vast, dwarf. It is tried and tested. But it is not endless."
I haven't had a chance or the energy of drawing personal characters in ages. It took a pandemic, ridiculous amounts of work and calling in sick due to a cold. So have Ranak, the black flame, who hasn't changed at all in years, it seems.
