Another hour of work and now the lines are colored instead of just black. Is it worth the extra hour, for a very subtle difference? I think so. I’m not sure.
Six hours into this Pancietta + Pokémon fanart. Learning a lot, and still more polishing to do but figured I’d show the work in progress.
#DailyDrawing #49 is another attempt at Cloe from https://t.co/PAn2Qgl6Bj! This is just the drawing and base color portion. I plan on shading and high-polish for this one, which I imagine means it will take another 5 or 7 hours before I call it finished. (At 3 hours already.)
I need to practice my “normal” style even while working hard to expand to other methods and art styles. Concerned the new stuff will destroy my ability to do the old stuff! Anyway, here is a little critter like I’d usually do. #DailyDrawing #48
@Xlymn3 It isn’t bad at all for a first attempt! The most important thing is to keep at it. Have you seen some of my early work? It is quite a mess! 😅 That’s exactly why we practice.
Here’s the final after following along to the whole tutorial. There’s another video which takes it to an even more polished stage, so maybe I’ll try that out soon too. For now I’m going to attempt to apply the same techniques to an original character of my own!
Today I’m working through some great tutorials by @loishh and learning her personal @Procreate process. First step is following as exactly as possible, then I’ll do a second attempt with more of my own style and choices. 👍
Decided to do some art of my old character Cloe (no H) from https://t.co/PAn2Qgl6Bj! Was wonderful to revisit, kind of like doing fan art, lol. I think I’ll do some more art of her in the future. #DailyDrawing #44
Art for #countryroaddtiys (For those that don’t know, DTIYS stands for Draw This In Your Style.) Original on the left by @lindaalbertini and my attempt on the right. @Procreate tells me I spent 8 hours and 4 minutes on this piece. It took me a week.
