Something I usually do when I lack the motivation to draw is open an old piece of artwork of similar variety then stare at it as I go.
Opened an old fursona's ref (think this one was made in mid 2018) and I can confirm it's given me a massive boost lol

Was kinda curious so I asked my instagram folks what dog breed would fit me in terms of a fursona and said I'd draw some suggestions... needless to say I already learnt not every of these dogs actually fits lol.
I said I was not gonna keep any but ugh... got a clear favorite...

Anyway, looking like this is Matyas' new design now. Liking it much more already; just need to get the rest of his body planned out now.
