It would be a ton easier to box out each part and work into them in detail passes, than tacking on the whole as a single mesh. You can reuse models to build up the then mesh too. I did a reference thing for ya 🙂

@PictoPatch Is it the color range you're worried about? It looks amazing, but maybe try adding more saturation contrast between dark and light lighting. I've done some colour correction in Photoshop here's showing orig + 33% change + 66% change. PM me if you want the .PSD :)
