I conducted more experiments in XPS and GIMP. This time, Zhu Ran's eye color. Before anyone says anything, I chose green because it would be very easy to see the change take. That said, it kinda looks cool in my opinion.

I also tried the red hair on DW8 Zhu Ran. Didn't quite go as smoothly on a quick edit, you can still ses black streaks. Got a bit of a "Shadow the Hedgehog" thing going. But hey, it's perfect imperfection. I still love it. ❤

Yes, I could use an official shot of RanRan looking sad (1st photo), but a good chance to call back to my old XPS shots aside, I'm over here showing more range of emotion in XPS than Koei Tecmo allowed DW8 Zhu Ran to officially. LOL

Specifically had Sun Shangxiang's DW7 costume in mind.

The overall theme of Ran's Shadowbringers glams will be "remembering the journey" and "remembering home". That will be so important for him to do as the coming events could very well psych him out.

And instead of just drawing Zhu Ran in his casual outfit, I wanted to try my hand at drawing his ombre shirt under his armor, err, without the armor. Like this is free time he's gotten shortly after a battle, I guess. LOL

F I had forgotten to post the clear official art of DW2 Sun Shangxiang. People probably thought I was crazy for missing this outfit with such a low resolution pic of it. XD

I really don't think I mention it enough, but Christie is one of my fave DOA gals and has been since her debut. It's a shame her story role has kinda suffered since Itagaki's departure.
But I digress, she is the basis for my very first Viera creation! I did good on resemblance!

Meanwhile, back in DW7, Diao Chan got her battle outfit from DW1. Not the cutscene outfit, which I don't blame them, it's kinda wonky and theatrical for a dancer with the "femne fatale temptress" image she has.

I'll say live action Diao Chan looks closet to DW1 Diao Chan. XD
