now we have our first 15-min pose. here you can see how i put it all together -- structure->sketch->color. i'm still not overly concerned with producing a "perfect" piece, it's about working within the time constraints.
so there's my first pass at it. i've got a few other ideas for colorways, and i'm not sure if i like using my own handwriting (i'm a giant font nerd), but this is good enough to let sit for a few days before i come back to it.
working in one color is kinda fun because you can recolor super easy
you always want to push the design so the poses are more dynamic and eye-catching
#PortfolioDay I'm Atlas! I'm an old white guy from Portland who loves character design! please give me money to doodle things xoxo
Tonight, ~35 friends and I rented out a theater for a private screening of Thor, and I drew a poster to commemorate the occasion:
let it sit overnight and added a couple finishing touches. I'm happy with it.
yesterday I sold my Calvin and Hobbes hardcover box set -- just takes up too much space.
C&H is my favorite comic of all time, so I'm in my feels today. Had to draw about it.
