Hi everyone! I’m Brennan, I paint extinct animals with a strong emphasis on the landscapes they lived in.
Thanks for checking out my work!!!😄
I definitely consider my art a representation of my what thoughts and emotions go through my head when I experience the natural world. Often times pieces are based off little notes I write to myself when surrounded by nature. Hopefully those emotions go through to you guys :) https://t.co/D39MPCh5V2

@thejohnconway @TetZoo More the lack of something but painting therepods with colorations that are possible without feather tracts. Large theropods aren’t going to have the neat patterns of a small sparrow especially in the face. Also more developed scapulars, tertiaries and mantle contour feathers
@CiaffiAlessio For example here I wanted the wulong to be the focus so it’s very detailed, but the background is accessory so it’s loose. Same in my alaskacephale piece the background forest is kept loose while the animals are detailed
“The Rapids”
A Wulong bohaiensis displays its gorgeous tail while briefly perching atop a log over a white water rapid in the Jiufotang Formation, China.
Relearning my warbler songs right now, and I wonder if pterosaurs sang 🤔
