Drawing from a #Portsmouth tower block 1980, crayon on old linen paper. Just taken a better photo of this one though the paper is slightly more lemony-coloured. It shows the old Pompey power station now demolished. Hint of the distant Solent.
Here's a plein air watercolour sketch of the Cam (or Granta) at Grantchester Meadows from 1990, sold long ago and scanned from a rather speckly slide.
Punts and canoes near the weir by Laundress Green Cambridge, pen and watercolour
A more recent still life and flower study with joss stick burners
More delving into old portfolios: this is Lucille on #Southsea beach 1976, charcoal pencil and pastel
Sketchbook watercolour drawing from 1988 of Hodson's Folly by the river in Cambridge. Yes, that horse was really there! Read about this quaint little structure here: https://t.co/SWUFbdhGea
Here's another Grantchester watercolour done on the spot in 1994. Not a good photograph but I am pleased with the painting, which sold ages ago.
