Only reason I'm bringing this up is I've been feeling nostalgic for the manga and maybe looking into catching up (paused at Water Tribe Arc). It's my favorite series tooling together peak romanctic struggles, fantasy adventures, worldbuilding and character work.
The illusory and mysterious nature of the novel's worldbuilding and cast of characters are the main enticement and are the heart and soul of the property. What we have to go on currently is it looks to have a degree of passion and that's all I could ask for.
Prior to any announcement author Bokuto Uno revealed they'd be very much a willing participant for the production with major emphasis put on series composition. If you've seen the same circumstantial results for Danmachi IV then that fact alone is worth celebrating at least.

Best news to wake up to today
Atsumi Tanezaki is lending her seiyuu efforts for the titular protagonist Frieren. She's done multitudes of impactful performances for a lot of popular roles, like Ancient Magus' Bride's Chise, SPY x FAMILY'S Anya Forger and Vivy to name a few.
Rough TL of Tanezaki's comments
I'm liking Secret Lady so far. Storytelling embodies illustrious vibes and sensual wonder with an engaging rapport between Charteris and Rose. Thrills and tension behind discriminatory prejudice for the supernatural remains a constant.
Officially released for English on Tapas
Yumeochi has been consistent so far with very nice progression and succinct character beats. Kitada-sensei might be onto something here if he maintains this kind of pacing without any setbacks.
