The amount of ore in Basarios's shell makes it closer to a rock than a shell. The shell can be used to refine metals. The shelling on its torso is relatively thin and easy to manipulate. The wings are a very hard material to work with.

Despite not being fully grown yet, Basarios is a fairly large and heavy monster. The rocky shell that covers Basarios's body protects it from attacks and makes the flying wyvern extremely heavy. Not only does the rocky shell provide it protection, but it also acts as a weapon.

While Gravios is known as the "Armor Wyvern" due to its armor-like appearance, Basarios is known as the "Rock Wyvern" due to its rock-like appearance. This flying wyvern often spends most of its time hiding underground with only its back exposed.

If it encounters a monster stronger than itself, it will either put that monster to sleep with its powder or blind it with a Flash Oyster before making a quick escape.

Not only does Somnacanth eat the giant oysters, but it also uses them for combat purposes. Each of the oysters have unique properties to them that Somnacanth can use to its advantage.

Somnacanth will look under sand and other objects in the water to find these giant oysters, and it'll use the sharp claws on its front limbs to hold onto any oysters it finds before breaking them open. To break open the shell of these mollusks, it'll use its tough underbelly.
