For the air chase, it was planned that two Nazi Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters were used, but only Pilatus P-2 planes were available for filming. ILM technicians built miniatures to scale the P-2 for continuity. They are very similar but have important structural differences.

Only an expert in the Grail diary would realize that Hitler -Scottish actor Michael Sheard- is holding the diary up side down in that take. In the last picture of Bill Kimberlin, we can see Mike Gleason as Hitler in the insert filmed at ILM studios, shot by cameraman Don Dow.

The bookburning rally held in 1938 in Berlin at the Institute of Aryan Culture, took actually place at Stowe School in Stowe, Buckinghamshire. IJPG member Andrew Spencer was one of the extras in the parade and he shared with us this awesome pictures in costume.

The road sign, blasphemy and slap scene was filmed in Spain, in a secluded corner of Granada, in the Sierra de Huetor, in June 1988, while the motorcycle chase was filmed in December in the US. Some of us realized the "long fur" that Harrison Ford has during the chase.

Sean was in a great mood most of the movie because he was able to be funny. He was able to use his comedic skills, and Ford was in a great mood because he was able to be the foil for the father. It was the most fun we had between actors in all of these movies.

The Grail doesn't offer a lot of special effects and doesn't promise a huge physical climax. I just thought that the Grail that everybody seeks could be a metaphor for a son seeking reconciliation with a father and a father seeking reconciliation with a son.

The scene was much more unpleasant. To flee from the henchmen, Sallah bothered one of the camels, and it spit on Dickey Beer and Wayne Michaels. Although the scene was filmed, it was deleted in the edition. Still, it was respected out of the big screen.
