Seriously, this Rick Jones guest appearance is the best thing in this whole book.

This "Rick Jones: Professional Sidekick" schtick is great.

Excalibur really expects me to believe that Kitty Pryde, who spends all her time hanging out with all the hottest people on the planet, is turned on by this skinny nerd cop with a unibrow.

First part is Butch Guice (inked by Leialoha!) and the second part is the debut of Silvestri on the book.

11. Dazzler vs. Juggernaut (Uncanny 217-218) Juggernaut always just shows up minding his own business and the X-Men freak out pick a big huge fight with him. Juggernaut is like "wow, Dazzler I'm your biggest fan" and Dazzler is like "I will destroy you to prove my worth"

10. Kill the Beyonder (Uncanny 202-203) Claremont and JRJR aren't particularly known for "cosmic" but they GO FOR IT here. Kitty uses Illyana's Soul Sword, and Rachel mindlinks with every life form in the entire universe to beat some dude in a tracksuit. Big weird cosmic comics.

9. New Mutants 35-37. Magneto is the new headmaster of Xavier School. Mary Wilshire inked by Sienkiewicz is like alt-comix June Brigman, perfect New Mutants art style. Great fashion, great hair, great acting, what more could you want.

Everyone gets their moment in this one. Jam packed comics.

7. Duel (Uncanny 201) Storm and Cyclops fight to decide who will lead the X-Men and it ruins Cyclops's marriage. Leonardi does a ton of fill-in issue in this era but this the best one, Portacio inks, art ahead of its time. Kitty holds a baby. Rogue flirts with Ronald Reagan.

6. New Mutants 32-34. The New Mutants team up with desert-nomad Storm to save Karma from the Shadow King. Drawn by my fav Leialoha. Warlock finally becomes a real character here and his new dynamic with Magik is the best. Everyone shits on Doug cause he sucks.
