Happy thanksgiving, friends! In case you haven’t seen @LuisVRey’s classic turkeyonychus…I can’t emphasize enough how much this image rocked my world and changed everything I thought I knew about dinosaurs back in ~2001.
I really dig this mid 70s (?) Mark Marcuson painting at @MorrillHallUNL, which looks like it could be the aftermath of one of my favorite @BrianEngh_Art pieces (vague palm-like trees aside).
Seriously, these dioramas were really carefully thought through. Rather than being assembled haphazardly, most are arranged around water. The designers started with where the water came from and where it's going, then populated the flora and fauna accordingly.
This painting by @LuisVRey blew my mind back in 2002 or so #DeinonychusDay
