Trying to get better at animation, maybe for a game eventually. Here's a funny little kick as a test.
I was able to do this in a weekend afternoon, so not TOO work intensive.
@UnwinderH Like Merryweather's internet explorer being depicted as really attractive and oversexed when the comic would be better served by making IE much less attractive to match with the browser's numerous issues.
The ugliness of PA seems "harmonic" to me.
@UnwinderH I have trouble seeing it as a big issue, IMO being able to draw uglier characters well is really a boon for a sarcastic humor comic.
I dislike it more when comics have art where everybody is unnecessarily good-looking, to the point of it detracting from the message.
Even though they are extremely lazily made, they can be invaluable in just setting up some poses that will foreshorten realistically and work in perspective without having to think hard.
(This isn't a scene in the comic, it's just me screwing around)
Also, here is a Krita timelapse, because I have an unhealthy addiction to making them.
I did use reference, but that's because I'm a better artist than I was, and better artists use reference.
I did some fan-art of Annette from @ComicsThorsby 's comic epic "Hitmen For Destiny."
It's a really good comic and I recommend reading it.
I thought Annette was a really wild character at times, so I wanted to draw her with her crazed, gleeful bloodlust.
