Homology is similarity resulting from common ancestry. One common example of homologous structures are the bones in the arm of a human, leg of a cat, flipper of a whale, and wing of a bat. White visually completely different, all have the same bones present.

This semester we will look at the macro side of biology, starting with evolution. First and foremost, in order to understand such concepts, we need to discuss the historical figures behind their foundation.
