Day 18 of #BestBoxArt365 is the gorgeous Odin Sphere. The luscious art combined with the young girl staring in awe makes this a standout cover. It's even better when you realize the framing device is the girl reading a book so the characters are literally coming to life for her.

The US cover tries to convey the same fun, but limits the scope by zooming in. The cynic in me wonders if they wanted to highlight Rouge's cleavage. But Europe is pretty great, giving a better sense that it's a fighting game while giving Edward angst and keeping Rouge in front.

Day 17 of #BestBoxArt365 is Power Stone! Man, between this, Soul Calibur, Jet Set Radio, & more, it's a wonder I never got a Dreamcast. The Japanese box art is definitely the best with its plethora of characters, fun art style, and emphasis on this taking place around the world.

I feel like I need to tweet endlessly about a game like @JonComms and @AndreSegers then I remember that Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming and I'll be returning to Castlevania soon...

Day 12 of #BestBoxArt365 and we have the good yet flawed Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. Like many of the KH box arts we've seen, this one works best once you realize the context. The fall of Sora, Mickey desperate to save him, while Riku both rises and protects. It's great.

The standard box art is still quite good, and Mickey is much better here. I personally love how prominent his Star Seeker Keyblade is, my favorite in the series. The action poses draw you in, but feel a bit basic compared to Final Mix. I bought a PSP just for this game. Worth it.

Day 11 of #BestBoxArt365 reaches my favorite Kingdom Hearts game, Birth by Sleep. As much as I love the standard box, the Final Mix is definitely better. The poses are more dynamic and pull you in, making you curious about these new characters. But that Mickey expression...

Day 10 of #BestBoxArt365 carries on with Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days! The box art has more going on than it first seems. There's a subtle transition from Destiny Islands to the World that Never Was with Roxas struggling between his friends & the Organization. Who should he trust?

That's not to say the normal cover is bad, just weaker. It's trying to convey the same message except everyone is clustered together with images of DiZ & Riku in the background. I really like the almost accusing look that Roxas gives the player, but as a whole, it feels too dour.

In contrast, I've never been able to get into the PS2 remake, Re:Chain of Memories. I gave up after an hour or so. The box art is fine if a little dull. The card aspect isn't emphasized nearly as much, but I miss it. Anime has this ability to make holding cards seem kinda badass.
