If someone wanted to publish a fantasy / pulp TTRPG with old school vibes I’d hire these four badasses, Jesse White [@jesswhitecomic], Matt Hilker [@matt_hilker], Matt Ray [@mattray7], and Chris Spence [@hominidart]
I just posted the next installment in my urbancrawl campaign journal, this one is a corker - Ujin Tohl the Viridescent has to convince a saan (lizard man) prophet to help him out. Lots of flavor in this one.

Weird thing, if you play AD&D (and I’m sure other editions) you likely spend a lot of time doing “social RP”, i.e. talking in character, negotiating, asking questions, etc rather than say combat. I’ve had this experience in every AD&D game I have ever run.
One thing that really adds to the immersion of your game is "flavor", suggestive details that give your world depth and meaning. I blogged about some examples from my city setting, check it out!

I have a slightly different take on this. Rather than speeding up combat to get through it faster, do things to make it more interesting. I wrote about this a while back

I've seen a few "making D&D combat more interesting" Tweets lately, here is a blog post with my suggestions:

Fantasy art inspires me, when I see pieces like these, I immediately start thinking about the story behind them, and that helps me create for my game. These are from Chris Achilleos, they light a fire in my brain. #DnD #OSRIC #Inspiration #DnDArt
This Friday’s artist is @SebastianPiriz Artists use space and convey motion in different ways, Piriz’s work reminds me of Norm Breyfogle, Tim Sale or Kevin Nowlan, crisp clean linework that pulls your eye through the page. Breathtaking and beautiful.
