I knew I wanted to design a suspension railway for #FadingOfTheVeil, but I was inspired by the train designs by Raymond Loewy while drawing this. So, I combined the two, while also adding a touch of Glow Cells.

I needed to figure out some of the standard coats for the Flickers in #FadingOfTheVeil.

By law, Flickers must wear a jacket with a coven patch when out in the public at all times. In the case of Sheglen, that would mean wearing a Lapis Order patch.

It is considered too dangerous for a police officer to fight a Flicker, so if one goes rogue, the officer will blow a Coven Whistle. This will turn all the lamp posts in the area blue, & call for help. In the case of Sheglen, the alert sends to the Lapis Order. #FadingOfTheVeil

A raven painting I did in 2020. I have always adored ravens; they are so much fun to watch! Not only are they intelligent, but they can also be extremely silly.

I have started drawing the tech in #FadingOfTheVeil! First is a Glow Cell, which is like a battery.

Low-class magic users work in horrible conditions in factories, funneling their magic into cells like these. They are used for powering everything from airships to rifles.

Hakan concept art for #FadingOfTheVeil! Hakan is a magic user and is bitter towards the forced enlistment so is reluctant to work, but still does what he can to protect his team.

I got this gnome from the dollar-store just to repaint it for practice

Introducing Farryn Alvey!
She does have magic ability, but works as the pathologist of her team. Her explosive magic abilities — which ended up taking her leg as a kid — was decided to be too dangerous for the field. Luckily, Farryn has a talent for sciences.

Benson concept art! I tried to make it look shaved on the sides 🤔I think I did too much hair color though.

Benson is the leader of the squad Fiontan, Farryn, and Hakan are all part of. I will do a more detailed one of him once I figure out his clothes 🙂 #FadingOfTheVeil

No, that is not her natural hair color. Keena was born upper-class, and vibrantly colored hair(changed using magic) is considered one of many signs of wealth in Sheglen. Her real hair is black.
