I have started drawing the tech in #FadingOfTheVeil! First is a Glow Cell, which is like a battery.

Low-class magic users work in horrible conditions in factories, funneling their magic into cells like these. They are used for powering everything from airships to rifles.

Hakan concept art for #FadingOfTheVeil! Hakan is a magic user and is bitter towards the forced enlistment so is reluctant to work, but still does what he can to protect his team.

Introducing Farryn Alvey!
She does have magic ability, but works as the pathologist of her team. Her explosive magic abilities — which ended up taking her leg as a kid — was decided to be too dangerous for the field. Luckily, Farryn has a talent for sciences.

No, that is not her natural hair color. Keena was born upper-class, and vibrantly colored hair(changed using magic) is considered one of many signs of wealth in Sheglen. Her real hair is black.

Introducing Aldwin Holt!

He is Ellamae's older brother who is doing his best to work for both them to survive.

He is a magic user, but is a low enough level that he was not enlisted.

This is actually a remake of a old drawing (2015?) of them, by the way.

I apologize for the original version of him having redish brown eyes. Back then I did not do enough research, but I know now that the proper colors are light blue or brown(which I decided on).

Thanks to @GaladrielAuthor's improvement suggestions, I think his colors are getting better.

I mostly used a man named BERA for color reference, and the drawing does look more like I pictured Fiontan to look like now. 🙂
