It is now very likely that this bizarre Sonic 1 concept art features the original villain, Nightmare Thirteen, looming in the background. Eggman would have probably been second banana at best.

And let it be known that I also did not really like FF7 Remake's art. It's a beautiful game, no argument or doubt there, but I mourn the loss of the game's original art style. But Square is GRAPHICS GRAPHICS GRAPHICS and the best way to show GRAPHICS is to chase realism.
