@emersonRpage I think the one common element is that they are generally fantasy crime stories, and they often have a rather surreal atmosphere to them. In fact the Surrealists were big fans of Fantômas, Magritte frequently referenced him.
Do we have a particular name for this type of pulp storytelling? Often surreal proto-superhero/villain stories?
