Meet Mei, the Japanese Flying Squid that majored in Aerospace Engineering and can propel herself as much as 30m through the air by forcing water through her siphon.

Sliding into #MolluskMonday with another bobtail squid who loves 90's pizza/paint parties.
For real though, octopus skin is full of stretchy sacs of color (chromatophores), stacks of reflective plates (iridophores), and light-scattering patches (leucophores). It's insane!

A funky-looking Chambered Nautilus is making an appearance for this week's #MolluskMonday.
What this guy lacks in memory, he more than makes up for with 90 tentacles and a shell that inspires many mathematical debates.

@JaylynSnowMusic Hi, I'm Bridget and I'm obsessed with cephalopods and am going through a digital art phase, as evident in my recent work.

This #MolluscMonday, we (finally) have the Larger Pacific Striped Octopus. Besides being a social octo, I've heard this guy has poked shrimp on their far side to trick them into swimming toward its mouth and dressed as Cruella DeVil for Halloween.

The star of this week's #MolluscMonday is the Banded Piglet Squid! This guy lives in the deep sea, is translucent, swims upside down, has photophores under its eyes, was voted most eccentric in his class, and is mostly a mystery.

Happy #molluscmonday from this little Striped Pajama Squid! Perhaps the most fashionable cephalopod, this bobtail squid rocks the B/W look and an understated brown/purple color when feeling the need to blend in with rocks and coral.
Sepioloidea lineolata
@OrphicWxtch I'm currently experimenting with other styles, so I have no idea what's coming next. (Probably more cephalopods.)
