I've SOMETIMES been known to use non-muted colours. I actually did a whole comic chapter back in 2017 with almost silly vibrant colours (the third image). I was aiming for something a little pop-y after being disappointed by the prints of my first few comics.

Fuck, am I gonna get sued?

I always come back to Alan Moore's Saga of the Swamp Thing. New comics: Black Hammer, which is a meta-superhero world. Also: These Savage Shores, which (oversimplifying) is about colonialism - with Vampires. Both quite hard hitting, but fast paced!

(I'm kinda left cold by the Rebuild, everything looks too abstract and OTT. I miss when the coolest moment in Eva was a robot lifting a battleship, but then I am old now)

Going from left to right has taken a lot of energy out of me today, and I'm not even 1/4 done with the painting. Only detailing, about three more light passes, ambient shading and cleaning to go!

(I'm adding the spear after since it's going to be very fiddly!)
