Speaking of dark/eerie art, I feel like sharing a few more favorite eerie paintings of mine!
My son says he sees a ghost upstairs (friendly, likes to play with toy cars and train, apparently), so in mind of that, here are a few of my more ghostly landscapes painted in the past few years!
A self-pub book cover I painted a while back, and the initial sketch. Had a fun time with that classic 'Mount Doom' style volcano back there, and its 'halo' of clouds.

Here are a few of my favorites! 🔗to more work in my profile.
"Ellomyr" painted for #numenera
It was a tiny place that grew... and burned... and grew... and grew.
Happy #July4th! This piece always reminded me of fireworks and their capacity to both delight and destroy. The initial rough paint (much more subdued) is actually more to my taste, though, tbh.
@DeePeeArts This would be mine. I know what the issue is: I removed the characters from the scene because I needed to (re)design the sapient beings in this world. But even empty, I just love this scene so much!
@Ervdwulfartist Hi, I'm Bruce and I'm an environment illustrator & game artist. I love painting otherworldly places. A couple of these are vertical pieces, so be sure to click on them to actually see them!
