@kimsokol Good question. I also took about 5 years off between graduation and starting back into art. I feel like there are hints of 'now' in it, but it was pretty scattershot. I didn't have a very cohesive idea of what I wanted to do stylistically then.
I always love sharing some of my #lovelylandscapes paintings! Here are a few that just make me go, ‘ahhhhhhhhh’.
Process of making 'The Garden of Solitude'. It's a little out of order, but I assume you can figure out which stage goes where? 😉
A few of the most popular things I had with me on my recent spate of cons! 'The Spire', 'Allaria', and 'Garden of Solitude'.
'Qi' painted for Numenera. I'd almost forgotten about this piece, considering I worked on it back in 2016 and never offered prints, but a Numenera fan at one of my recent cons reminded me. There's quite a lot to like about it, I think!
Heading off to Salt Lake City FanX; stop by if you'll be there! In honor of that, here's "The Great Salt City" and some of the early sketches for it. Illustrated for Keyforge's 'Secrets of the Crucible'.
How about some otherworldly landscapes I've painted for #repostday?
Wish I had more new art to post, but next year sharing the stuff I'm working on now will be insane. In the meantime, here's a favorite, "Awaken the City".
We're allowed to tease, so here's a crop of the final version of my inverted Ace of Pentacles! More news on this Halloween #tarot deck soon! 😁
