In Pokémon, the 'don' suffix is usually synonymous with a reptilian or dinosaur-like appearance, but fans who know their ancient Greek will know that it simply translates as 'tooth'.

Ergo, Koraidon and Miraidon are 'Ancient Tooth' and 'Future Tooth'.

@PLDHnet Two other things that might be going on with Koraidon: it's giving us some VERY strong Quetzcoatl vibes, but those head and tail feathers, along with the puffed-out chest, also give it a silhouette not too dissimilar to a rooster:

Two immediate observations on themes:

1: Food continues to be a big motif - we now have an olive and a truffle hog joining the roster.

2: There's definitely a dichotomy between the legends, whether that's antiquity vs futurism or perhaps land vs air.
