19. While Geno and Terrie are the cute young awkward anxiety couple that also argue a lot, Riley and Audrie are the cute middle-aged depression couple… who also argue a lot. It’s just fun to write them that way and show how they still support each other emotionally in the end.

17. When the comic was on hiatus for several years, it was midway through chapter 6 and I eventually decided to scrap what I had so far and reboot 6 entirely. I was obsessing over Mona from Shovel Knight and the large eyebrows from my Mona fanarts ended up on terrie. WHOOPS.

12. A lot of Audrie’s personality was heavilly influenced by my old job’s finance department, who were dominantly Guyanese. I asked my coworkers to teach me Guyanese phrases because i wanted to have a Guyanese character in my comics. I left that job only knowing the word “skunt”

9. I’ve lost most of the oldest art back when i had drawn in eye colors, but early art of Geno and Terrie had the reverse Rareware Protagonist-duo effect where Terrie had blue eyes and Geno had green eyes. Somewhere along the line I forgot that and she was given brown eyes

7. Her name is often documented as “Teresa”, but “Terrie” is her birth name, as one of her dads insisted the kids have gender-neutral names. “Teresa is a chosen name by Terrie herself to sound like a more formal first name. Despite her semi-boyish appearance, she’s a cis girl.

5. Mary is someone that nobody is talking about, but also, someone that everyone is talking about. People who followed my pre-launch development already know that she, like Geno, is a lab child, but she attends the school like a normal out-of-towner student.
