Alright, let's talk about ANOTHER government super soldier whose true history was held back, except this time it's because the #supermananalogue is on the run... Or at least he was. I'm talking about Carl Lucas... Aka Power Man... Aka LUKE CAGE

Unfortunately, this is about the time that Wildstorm was folded into the DCU with New 52 and I know fuck all about what happened to Spartan in that shake up. Obviously I have issues with how the Wildstorm properties were merged with DC's.

As promised, I'm talking today about Namorita, who is arguably a more direct Supergirl parallel to Namor the Sub-Mariner's #SupermanAnalogue than her "mother", Namora.

Distaff counterparts of #SupermanAnalogue characters are all over! Namor the Sub-Mariner has two, so let's start with the first one, his cousin Namora!

Big Bang is a 2x nostalgia trip for me. I discovered them in the early internet days and voraciously read about them but means of reading the actual books weren't available. Years later I was finally able to get ahold of these love letters to comics history and they did not fail.

In her initial form, she was a librarian named Molly Wilson who shouted Alakazam to be struck by the magical lightning of nature and given super powers. It was a pretty spot on nod to the Big Red Cheese, complete with similar villains. For a fan like me, this was great!
