Finished a new drawing. Brandy Cinnamon Wages listening to Joanne tell stories from her life.
This is for the chapter from The Wages that I am going to post. The page is coming along.

@_asphodels_ The Arches rag is mounted on a block and won’t wrinkle even with a lot of water. It’s expensive, so I don’t use it for everything. I have smaller block 9 x 12 for less complex scenes. This watercolour with a little acrylic white drybrushed to push out the white haze.

You can see on Brandy’s hand the burn that connects her to Eyedeevee.

I have been working on wide-shot drawings to establish and conclude chapters.
I think I need more of these close-ups of Brandy and Crystal too. I love drawing their faces, and working toward the complex details of their expressions at this aspect.

Brandy spent her first day after sprouting her black wings by hiding away in a state of great anxiety and confusion.
By bedtime, she says:
"Wrapping the wings around myself felt nicer than I expected, and I slept better than I usually did."
