Brandy painted in and over-lines done for this new drawing. Landscape and other character next.
Meeting Two Tails comes after Brandy is lost in the rain, but before she reaches the gate of the void.
The gate of the void is where we meet Brandy and where she tells her life story—those 2 drawings will actually be at the start, but I have to check them for continuity.
I took some time to make clean scans of these that I just changed a little.
I added details to connect these three drawings about Brandy and her daughter Angela that appear at different times in the story.
This thing has been coming along fairly slowly, because I have also been sorting out other stuff. But I keep taking some time to work on it, and it is kind of down to finishing their tour bus and adding a little more rain.
Getting there. I need to paint in the road and tour coach at bottom, and add the finishing lines to the landscape and the meteorogist on the left.
I completed the lightning and museum first, and drew in the indistrial landscape after. It’s not so important and can be random.
I wasn’t satisfied with the way I drew Crystal’s face (at left) so I redid it. I had to carve out some of the watercolour with an Xacto as well as erase. I am happier with the way she looks now.
After a life is told to The Sand Keeper:
“That’s my whole story. Is the sand sorted well enough?” Brandy asked me.
“Try reaching into the fog,” I said
She stood and lifted her left hand into the yielding void.
“You are done sorting. Now you can be the void rider,” I said.
