Truer color image of this paint and drawing.
Brandy stares at two cirrus clouds crossing the sky, and thinks of two hearts in love. One is hers.
Brandy to The Sand Keeper at the gate of the void:
"I'm a 58-year-old woman. A lot has touched my heart, and a lot has been taken from it."
BRANDY: I sneaked up on him in the wood shop and shouted “What's that for Uncle Ichabod?” and he hit his thumb with the hammer and hollered “Holy crow!”
BRANDY: Hey Finchy, did you know that Uncle Ichabod is making a birdhouse for a bird to go to church?
Getting there. I need to clean up the outlines in Crystal's hair by going over them when it's dry, so they come out crisp and light looking. I'll show the whole watercolour eventually. It's taller, and there's more going on.
I draw Brandy and Crystal's fashion along the lines of country stars like Lorretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Juice Newton, and up to new stars.
Crystal also has this early Karen Carpenter vibe, and styles that go with groovy bangs looks, like Jackie DeShannon and Twinkle Ripley.
I've been pushing through to finish a bunch of drawings, but haven't taken the time to scan them properly. In the meantime here's a snap of part of this one—I'll post the full drawing with the rest when I do the scans.
I feel so trashy
Somebody oughta take me out
I might not come from much
But I can show you what life's about
(repeat chorus to fade)
