Zendaya was in the running for the role of Alita in Alita: Battle Angel but she lost out to Rosa Salazar. She did get the role of Michelle Jones-Watson in the MCU Spider-Man movies. #AlitaSequel
This morning the Alita sequel petition had 174,530 signatures. Now, 13 hours later, it has 174,821 signatures - an increase of 291 signatures. A guess is that the news articles on Robert Rodriguez planning to talk to Disney about a sequel is boosting the Alita petition.
@StarOfElyon A mass tweet to Regal Cinemas, AMC Theaters & Cinemark to rerelease Alita: Battle Angel in theaters in Jan or Feb 2029 might work. Those are slow months for movie theaters, and an Alita rerelease would likely get media attention from Deadline & the L A Times. #AlitaSequel
The websites Looper, Collider and SlashFilm just published articles asking Robert Rodriguez about an Alita: Battle Angel sequel and he repeated that he will be talking to Disney after Boba Fett airs. https://t.co/ryYTiEr8i9
We don't want a lot this Christmas. There's just one thing that we need. We don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree. Disney, make our dreams come true! Alita Battle Angel 2! @DisneyStudios #AlitaSequel
@Kadmos1 A good estimate is that Alita: Battle Angel has sold about 911,000 blurays in the U S, and about 2.9 million blurays worldwide, since July 2019. That should impress Disney. #AlitaSequel
The Numbers posted July 4 2021 bluray sales & said nothing about Alita. At July 4th it is estimated that Alita sold 800 blurays in the U S & had worldwide profits of $87 million. Right now the Alita 4K bluray is ranked #278 in sales on Amazon & is still in stock. #AlitaSequel
In Nov 2020 Alita blurays were out of stock at Amazon & it's estimated Alita sold about 4000 blurays in Nov 2020 thru the Black Friday weekend. This year the Alita blurays are in stock & discounted at Amazon, with an estimated 30,000 Alita blurays having been sold this November.
What's On Disney Plus reports that Disney just released information on its 10K report saying that Disney will be spending $33 billion for new content in 2022, up by about $8 from 2021, with 50 movies in 2022. https://t.co/g94IvKS7GA
