mmmm I don't have a favorite, I love them all, so I'll go with "easiest to draw" in the sense that I can come up with scenarios fairly easily

Uhh, I tend to create characters in batches, so this was a little difficult to pin down. I have a lot of characters that I still need to design though the concepts and where they fit into their stories are in place.

I really pushed myself on this piece and had to learn how to render lots of new things, most notably the light refraction under and on top of the water. There are lots of things I wish I'd done differently, but I learned a lot from it

Since the pdf is now available & books are almost ready to ship, I can post the full piece I did for @quirksforall !
Memories of working on this are warm like summer, and though it's very cold today, sharing this makes winter seem a little farther away.
