I stumbled newly on the documentary ‘Nothing Changes: Art for Hank’s Sake’ on Prime Video this morning and I have rarely related to anything so completely. I’m almost in tears just thinking about it. You might not have as intense a reaction as that, but you should watch it.
Bear in progress. I’m back to trying to paint little pictures that are in some way good and can be in a gallery one day and not just on twitter.
More drawings or ‘sketches’ (don’t like that word) from lockdown times. Maclennon, frogs, boy, Little Richard chasing McCartney
Sketches getting somewhere... Ginger Baker and Disney child, and the ‘supergroup’ of which he was a component, Cream. Carved out a tiny bit of mental space today, still made the basic error of browsing twitter for too long.
Painting (small). Girl and dog standing in bathtub. My drawings are getting a lot of love praise and attention these days and that’s great but I can’t help aspiring to paint. I hope the painting and the drawing will be able to coalesce and canoodle more.
Some of my lesser known Beatles drawings (everything I’ve done is lesser known compared to say ... anything that’s known)
A drawing I drew when I was in a fairly bad way mentally (not recently). It communicates something of what it was like
I had a renewed crack at drawing Lennon and McCartney this afternoon, get it out of my system and so on
