Fortunately for those around him, Hyden doesn’t actually get any particular pleasure out of causing suffering, though his amoral behavior + ambivalence to other’s wellbeing is easily mistaken for sadism. He doesn't deny the other part, though... (Asked by @BusterTheDragon )

2018 and 2020. 2018 is still probably my favorite. Great shapes, great face, returned to the roots on the design/color scheme somewhat. 2020: didn't know what to do again, attempted to push the pose & colors from 2018 harder and added a background. But I still like 2018 more!

2014+2016. 2014: Lines got cleaner. Didn't see much improvement over previous one tho, attempted more ambitious composition to compensate. 2016: Didn't know what to do, tried reimagining the cat. Leaned into the dragonfruit inspired horns/tendrils to make something different.

Got asked about Hyden's swimwear choices so I drew him in some modern beach/resort clothes. As a man who is pathologically incapable of shame, there's nothing stopping him from hitting the beach in even less than this except knowing social etiquette prohibits it. Also sunburns.

Some time ago it occurred to me that human Hyden looks like Santa’s evil capitalist brother from the south pole. I can’t unsee it.
