For the record this is actually the 4th #scicomm comic connecting #MeanGirls to #dinosaurs I’ve made.
Latest #watercolor of the newly described #pterosaur, #Dearc! Found in #Scotland from the middle #Jurassic, this toothy beast had an 8foot (2.5m) wingspan! @WryCritic #paleoart #scicomm
Newest #watercolor of a pair of #Gorgosaurus. This slightly smaller, leggier relative of #Tyrannosaurus is the favorite dinosaur of @50cent. #scicomm #dinosaur #paleoart
Newest #watercolor of #Nanuqsaurus watching a family of #Edmontosaurus go by. I imagine it eying the baby and then the massive parents and thinking “…not worth it.” #paleoart #dinosaurs #scicomm #Alaska
Newest #watercolor is of the #hadrosaur, #Rhinorex. Unearthed in Utah, the genus name translates to “Nose King” because of its large, downturned snout. (A trait common to quite a few other hadrosaurs, actually) 👃👑 #dinosaur #paleoart #watercolors #scicomm #Utah
@WondersNorbit I used elements of the Barn Owl, Short-eared Owl, Eastern Screech Owl, and Northern Harrier when I made these. But yeah the frogmouth is right in there too. I did an owly look for my Pectinodon too.
Go vote for my three submissions by hitting “like” on my replies and maybe we can get some awesome action figures with my art’s colors! #paleoart https://t.co/Hitt3cFpMR
Newest watercolor of #Tianyulong. Appears to be variation within the species of feather arrangement. Rear individual based on verbal description by @Dave_Hone of an unpublished specimen. Inspired by #CrestedNewts for the colors. #paleoart #dinosaur #watercolor #scicomm
