his is the latest painting in my new series for my upcoming exhibition in June. This is a wedding party that I saw. The day was fiercely cold but very bright and the bride wore welly-boots under her bridal gown. The second photo shows the gorgeous background for the ceremony

This is the latest work on the easel. Quite a lot to do yet, it’s mostly just blocked in so far, but I was busy laying gravel and doing laundry today I did manage to get a person and some dogs sketched in though

I'm trying to inprove my drawing skills so have been setting up still life objects and keeping it simply with pencils

This is my artist impression of the #kirktonhouse that I did the sketching for last week. These houses were part stone/ part turf, they were thatched with heather and the had no hearth, hence the smoke coming through the roof. The original has headed off to #kirktonwoodland now

It’s been a really busy day but all of my oil paintings have now been varnished and framed. The big painting in my the last photo is in a gorgeous frame by @emmanoblecreates and the smaller paintings are in bespoke frames by @jacksons_art, lime waxed by me. All ready to go

This is my final painting for @gairlochmuseum. Everything needs to be varnished and framed and then they’ll be ready to go. Lochcarron has a salt marsh and in June it is covered in drifts of #seapinks #thrift #armeriamaritima

It’s interesting working in oils again. Because each layer takes some time to dry, the artist needs to work on several different paintings at once, so I worked on this one while my big painting is drying. I think it’s just about finished #frosty #snowdrops #botanicalart
