The ancient Greek thymiateria were used in private & public rituals of the 7th C BCE – 4th C CE, and includes 17 main types of censers.
I get interested in one particular type shown in the Hellenistic relief from Panticapaeum, today Kerch #Crimea early 4th C BCE.

In @Luovre there is a few very well preserved mummy shrouds from the 3rd and 4th (the last one) century Egypt.

For #FrescoFriday painted sarcophagus from #Cyprus ~400 BCE, encaustic on marble.
The border of a lid is decorated with a repeating sequence of myrtle & flower branches. In the pediment scene with the conical funerary monument (tymbos), 2 women on the right, 2 men on the left.

What an excellent amber carving! Look at the details, a small bottle held by a woman!

This is an Etruscan sculpture made ~5th C BCE, depicting a couple on the sofa. Woman is dressed in a pointed hat, a tunic & pointed shoes.

The best part of #Mughal jewels - archer's thumb rings. Sometimes made of gold with gems, or jade only, but my favorite are made on jade base with rubies, emeralds (most common combo), and diamonds.
