I’m not a fan of dialogue in comics that needs to be decoded. But doesn’t work that badly in this issue? Or rather, it makes it extra refreshing when they all get translators.
Swamp Thing #57: I really liked this issue. The sci-fi artwork is incredible, the jokes about the frustrating nature of Adam’s relationship were great, and there was almost a self-aware sense of humor to the whole thing...but it never felt cheap. Really enjoyed it. #SwampedThing
Just 7 days left in our campaign. When we hit backer 235, I'll reveal the full 9-panel grid this comes from.
And if you've missed it, NEXT DOOR is a crime comic, w/script by me, art by Pat Skott, colors by Ellie Wright, letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

Moore sure had a fascination in the ‘80s with all-powerful blue beings weathering solitude in space.
Here's a quick sneak peak of some new art from NEXT DOOR. We've been holding back (potentially to our detriment) a real glimpse of what happens when the action starts, but this is getting closer...

Swamp Thing #54: This issue is alternately about Abby mourning and revisiting Dennis and Liz from earlier issues, Dennis who is a sociopathic monster and violently gaslighting Liz. It’s one of the scarier issues, but very well done, I thought. #SwampedThing
Totleben draws a great Batcave. Also, in the foreword for this volume, Stephen Bissette wrote about how the depiction of a super militarized Batman here was sort of a response to DKR, like oh yeah? Watch we’ll do it too...
