@MrTonyNacho It’s @squinkyelo book that is beautiful & disarming in its simplicity. It’s one of those books that’s hard to shake once you’ve read it.
It’s all done in color pencils, w/ big, lush illustrations that belie the story’s troubling theme. It made me think about comics in a new way.
@Martacuss @Karahuset Here ya go: this is Booth from my book Busker:

I read all of Astro City during lockdown.
I wasn’t handling it well (was anyone?!) but @KurtBusiek ‘s world of wonder, heart, & character, reminded me that comics can take you away & return you stronger, better, & truly inspired. https://t.co/vptRFMgn9P
@elonmudd I mean, it’s definitely Booth. I have so much fun with her.
No. 4: “And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow” by Weyes Blood
(Full review on my IG)
Natalie Mering’s voice is flawless, It completely envelops you.
Weyes Blood have created a work of art that is staggering in both its humanity and its honesty. The effect is debilitating.
No. 9: “Auburn Whisper” by Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini
(Full review on my IG)
“Auburn Whisper” has a natural organic flow, & yet each of the songs creates its own unique world, rich with emotion & atmosphere. It entrances & continues to unfold new dimensions w/ each spin.
No. 11: Wet Leg
(Full review on my IG)
Wet Leg write songs that are funny, frank and disarmingly conversational.
It’s that rare work of art that in it’s honesty - with all it’s entendres and expletives - is absolutely pure.
