Friends, I've secured my second professional comics article assignment.
It's time to once again thank you all for the support and constant morale boosting that helped me gain the confidence to do this over the last year and a half.
Thank you.
I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but my favorite approach to superhero "families" is when each hero has a different powerset. So rather than Superman and 5 other people with Kryptonian-style powers you have a stretchy guy, a bug girl, a non-powered badass, an inventor..
I think it's safe for me to say that Hawkgirl is kind of a breakout character at this point. While she is still frequently tied to Hawkman, that's not always the case and often she is an autonomous character with her own fanbase and her own stories.
Orca's trajectory from being summarily killed off and joked about as one of the "worst Batman villains ever" in 2000-2010s listicles to becoming pretty much accepted in the Gotham lesser villain pantheon is pretty amazing, to be honest. The Lego Batman movie probably helped.
My financial situation is unfortunately still dire, so if you like what I do and want to help me continue making content and paying the bills, any size of tip is extremely appreciated at https://t.co/bRoCx7X7vX
I have chosen this rather than patreon due to my infrequent posting
Alright friends.
I need your help.
I want you to recommend me some DC Comics.
You can safely assume that I've read any high-profile run or event already.
I'm more looking into underrated/lesser-known runs but anything goes.
Open question, go nuts!
Whenever there's a new Marvel or DC game that has a very wide focus one of the core question is always "how deep is the roster?". Ever since Marvel Ultimate Alliance blazed the trail I have certain... expectations.
And I'm glad to announce Marvel Snap includes a fan-favorite:
According to Siegel, his original wish was for Lois to discover Clark's secret and to become his partner both romantically and in crime-fighting, but editorial at the time was singularly uninterested in unrooting the already established status quo less than a decade into Superman
