Before I dive too deeply into plot synopsis (there isn't... too much to cover, honestly), I think my main takeaway from the series is that, in a lot of ways, its Cockrum's mission statement on what comics should be.

While Cockrum still doesn't award time to Kurt making out what this means to him and the parts of his identity that make a Bamf, he does introduce the concept of the Dark Bamf...

Kitty (notably made older in her alter form here, to revisit yesterday's topic of her relationship with Piotr) is as much a magnet to (smol) Lockheed as her 616-counterpart is, making the argument that these alters...

...terms that a child would understand–and be able to process. But by making the fantasy reality, some of the story's punch is almost taken out of it retroactively.

As (big) Lockheed leads Kurt and his crew to Captain Kitty and her first mate Colossus, Kurt explains the idea...

...of Kitty's perspective on Kurt, I wish Cockrum had dug a bit more into about what the Bamfs' multiply demonstrated hyper-horniness says about Kurt–and how he might process that reality–but the time for introspection is interrupted when Shagreen returns to recapture Kurt.

...Kitty created hyper-dramatized versions of her teammates, reducing them to extreme versions of their character traits.

Throughout this series, Nightcrawler has been emphatic about explain what he is *not* (i.e. not a boggie), and while the Bamfs are an intense rendering...

The man finds three of the Savage Land tribeswomen as prey to a T-Rex, but struggles to enter his organic steel form following his rumination on Anya's rejection.

...would be the damsel herself, even if I'm pretty certain that Kurt is canonically dating his sister at this point in the Run.

Back at the mansion, Kitty and Illyana's attempts to bring Kurt home seem to be making headway as Kitty excitedly activates the interdimensional...

...a companion for Kurt in ways I can't just put into words.
